Your rights

Cornerstone tenants have the right to live in a home that is fit for human habitation and we must ensure that homes meet the government’s Decent Homes Standard.

To achieve this we provide a responsive repairs service and complete a range of health and safety checks. Periodically we replace parts of the home such as the roof, windows, doors, boiler, kitchen, bathroom. We also provide options to move to help with things like overcrowding.

As a landlord we have obligations to comply with a range of health and safety legislation. There is more information about how we keep tenants safe here.

Tenants also have the right to receive notice of a proposed visit to carry out repairs or maintenance or to view the condition and state of repair of their home.

Our disabled tenants have the right to reasonable adjustments in relation to their home and the services we provide.

Please contact us if you have questions about your rights as a tenant.
