Call 999 if it’s an emergency or you’re in immediate danger.

The police take domestic violence seriously and will be able to help and protect you.

If you feel you do not want to involve the police, you can contact one of the support agencies in your area for help and advice.

Ask for ANI (Action Needed Immediately) codeword scheme

If you do not have access to a phone but are able to get to a pharmacy (Boots, Superdrug, any local pharmacy or Morrison’s pharmacy) you can discreetly ask for Ani (Pronounced Annie) a trained pharmacy worker will offer a private space where you can speak to the police or access support services such as a national or local domestic abuse helplines, some of which we have linked below.
