Tenancy Information

Anti-social behaviour

We are a landlord, providing accommodation, but we also want to provide an environment in which our tenants are happy to live.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) and neighbour nuisance can cover a huge range of situations, from annoying things such as barking dogs or loud music, to more serious matters such as harassment and violence.

We treat all reports of ASB confidentially. This means that we will not tell the perpetrator, the Police or any other agency that you have made a complaint, unless you give us permission to.

However, in some cases it is obvious who has complained and we cannot stop the perpetrator making assumptions about who has complained.

You can report anti-social behaviour to us online or by calling one of our customer service advisors on 01392 273462.

Download our ASB leaflet here for more information about what you as an individual can do, what we as a landlord can do, and what we can all do as members of a community to resolve anti-social behaviours.

Domestic violence

Domestic violence or abuse can take many forms from actual acts of violence to behaviour which is emotionally or psychologically abusive.

We, along with other Housing Associations across Devon, have signed up to Devon Registered Providers Domestic Abuse Code of Good Practice to raise awareness of domestic violence and improve the way in which we can deal with the problem effectively. The code sets out clear standards to provide support to those affected by domestic abuse.

Please be assured that any information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

We also work in conjunction with partner agencies to help people affected by domestic violence and abuse to feel safe and secure when they choose to remain in their home. If you are affected by any of these issues, please contact us.

We believe all our tenants, whatever their race, colour, sex, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation or marital status, have the right to ‘quiet enjoyment’ of their homes.

We take harassment very seriously, harassment being a deliberate act targeted at a person or group for reasons of prejudice. We will support the victim as much as possible and will take appropriate action against the people responsible.
