Meet our new Chief Executive,Tom Woodman

Cornerstone, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Tom Woodman.  He will succeed Rick Williams, who retires as one of the country’s longest serving chief executives after 26 years in post and 34 years with the organisation.

Tom joins us from Livewest where he was Executive Director of Strategy and Performance and had previously held a number of roles with the association (previously known as Devon and Cornwall HA).  Speaking of his new role, which he will take up in January, Tom says;

“I’m really pleased to be joining Cornerstone – it’s a great organisation that puts people first and focuses on quality homes and services. Rick will be a hard act to follow, and I’m looking forward to working with customers, the staff team and the board to create the next phase in Cornerstone’s future.”

We are also pleased to announce that alongside Tom’s appointment, Joanne Martin, our recently appointed Finance Director, has been named as Deputy Chief Executive.

Cornerstone Chair, Peter Heron, says;

“We have been through a period of significant change this year with three of our executive team leaving, boasting 90 years’ of service between them.  It is a credit to the board and the current chief executive that the succession process has been so successful with the hugely experienced Tom and Jo joining us, together with Tim Lewry as Head of Property Services who join existing executives Anne Seaborne (Development) and Clare Beach (Housing) to form a strong leadership team for the future.”
