Corona Latest Advice

31/03/2020

Thank you for your continued understanding as we carry on delivering essential services in difficult circumstances during the Coronavirus outbreak.

We are continuing to follow Government guidelines by minimizing contact between people.  The most important thing to us is to protect the safety and health of our customers and our staff team.

We are still working by phone and email as normal, but our office at Cornerstone House, Exeter is now closed to all visitors.

Repairs

We have changed the way we carry out some repairs:

  • all emergency repairs will be carried out as normal
  • all safety repairs and checks will be carried out as normal

However, we will not be carrying out non-urgent repairs, except for emergencies or about safety issues.

You should report all emergency or safety repairs by calling 01392 273462

For non-urgent repairs inside your home, please take a look at our self- help guides on our website to see if these help. You can find these at www.cornerstonehousing.net/repairs/self-help-guides or by going to Google and searching for ‘Cornerstone self-help’.

Housing and Rents

For neighbourhood, tenancy and other general housing queries please:

  • email us on mail@cornerstonehousing.net
  • text us 07491 163432
  • or telephone the main office on 01392 273462

If you have low credit, text us and ask for a call back, we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Wellbeing Phone Calls

We are making outbound wellbeing calls to a number of our older or vulnerable residents to check they have the support they need. Please get in touch if you’re worried about yourself, a neighbour or someone else in your community.

The call may show up as a mobile number or as withheld because of the way our phone system is now set up for home working. We will always explain who we are and why we are calling but it is important to remain vigilant to scams and fraud, so if you’re unsure we are happy for us to call you back.

Residents are talking to us about a number of things including worries about food, rent and problems with neighbours so we have put together a frequently asked questions (FAQs) fact sheet that you can also find by clicking here!

We are here to help so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re worried!
