Resident Consultation: Code of Conduct
Helping us shape our Code of Conduct
Launch date: 19th August 2026
Closing date: 3rd September 2026
We’re inviting all residents to share their views on our Code of Conduct.
We are committed to providing a high-quality, fair and respectful housing service and to ensuring anyone representing Cornerstone acts with professionalism, integrity and accountability in everything they do. To support this, we have developed a draft updated Code of Conduct, which sets out the standards, values and behaviours that residents can expect from everyone working at Cornerstone.
The code has been informed by the National Housing Federation’s 2026 Code of Conduct.
Your feedback will help us:
- Understand what matters most to residents
- Identify any issues with our current Code of Conduct
- Develop clearer and more consistent policies
What is in the Code of Conduct?
The code comprises five sections, which are:
- Acting in the best interests of residents and Cornerstone.
- Behaving with integrity
- Treating others fairly, with respect and empathy
- Taking responsibility for the impact of your actions
- Acting with diligence and care
We encourage you to read the proposed Code of Conduct.
The questions we are asking are
- What does good behaviour from Cornerstone staff, board members and involved residents look like to you?
- Do you feel the Code of Conduct is clear and easy to understand? If not, what could be improved?
- What would help you feel confident that residents are treated fairly, respectfully and listened to?
Before we finalise this code, we want to hear from you.
Your feedback is vital in helping us make sure the code reflects what matters most to residents: clear standards, respectful treatment, good communication and a service you can trust.
Your responses will help shape the final version of the code and influence how we deliver services going forward.
