The cost-of-living crisis has unfortunately meant many households have been feeling worse off and worried about their financial situation. We have a resident support fund. We use this to help residents who are in financial hardship.

Anti-Social Behaviour

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) can make residents feel unsafe and unhappy in their homes or neighbourhoods. We understand that reporting it can be difficult, we work with local partners, including the Police and local authorities, to help keep our communities safe.

We’re proud that 60% of residents who reported ASB were satisfied with how we handled their case. We know there’s still room to improve, and we’re committed to doing so.

In the past year, we received 84 new ASB reports. 33 cases were resolved within the year. The most common issues were:

  • noise (32%)
  • verbal abuse or threats (21%)
  • drug-related activity (23%)

Safeguarding our residents

There were 45 safeguarding concerns reported in the year, this is where someone is worried about the health, safety or wellbeing of a resident they know or have come into contact with. 32 of those our staff identified through their engagement with residents and others were reported to us. 26 of those were related to vulnerable adults and 1 involved concerns about children, some involved both. We work in partnership with a range of organisations including Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, the Local Authority and the Police, working together for the safety and wellbeing of residents. A real success story

We came across a resident who had severe damp and mould in their home. The main cause for this was related to the hoarding of items which was affecting air flow around the home. Hoarding disorder is a recognised mental health condition so we worked the resident to temporarily move him out so that his health was not being affected by the mould. He then worked with an organisation called TLC who help him to declutter his home and to understand the root cause of his hoarding. We carried out any required repairs and redecoration and then he moved back into his home, free from mould. We kept in contact with him to make sure things stayed on track.
