I’m pleased to welcome you to our Annual Report for 2024/25 and to share some of the progress we’ve made over what has been a challenging, but ultimately rewarding year, delivering great outcomes for our residents and the communities we serve.
Over the past twelve months, we have listened to your feedback and worked closely with residents to help improve our service offer, communication and the way we do things. Your stories and suggestions have inspired changes from easier ways to contact us, to community events and building more homes.
We have invested in repairs and new homes as we continue to keep homes in good condition and respond to what you told us during The Big Plan roadshow and our Resident Engagement Panel (join the panel if you’d like to have a say).
There is always more to do, and we continually prioritise repairs and invest your rent money as best we can, whilst keeping your rent affordable. This is always a challenge given higher material and labour costs, and where we can, we undertake the work ourselves through our direct labour force team. We have started this year to build more new homes and energy efficient homes so that Cornerstone homes stay affordable and warm for all.
This year, 86.7% of residents told us they’re satisfied with our overall service a result we’re proud of. Maintaining this in a challenging climate shows the resilience and commitment of our staff. Despite rising costs and growing demand, we stay focused on what matters most: delivering for you. It’s encouraging that 88.2% feel treated fairly and with respect, and 87.9% believe their home is safe. These results reflect our teams’ dedication to listening, supporting, and doing the right thing every day.
We’re proud of this achievement, but we know there’s more to do. We remain committed to improving services, listening to residents, and investing in homes and neighbourhoods.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this year’s journey – residents, staff, partners, and board members. Together, we’ll keep working hard to build affordable, safe, and thriving communities.
We are always here to help. If you need to contact us, you can find full contact information on our General Enquiries page.
