Getting Help to Evacuate in an Emergency

A Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is a plan that helps you evacuate your home safely in an emergency, such as a fire. If you or someone in your household needs help to evacuate, we can create a PEEP for you.

Why Might I Need Help to Evacuate

You might need help to evacuate if, for example, you or someone in your household has any of the following:

• A mobility issue
• Visual impairment
• Hearing impairment
• There may be children or elderly people living with you
• You have a temporary disability like a broken leg or had an operation and are recovering
• You are dependent on equipment like an oxygen tank which you would need help with
