Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
Getting Help to Evacuate in an Emergency
A Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) is a plan that helps you evacuate your home safely in an emergency, such as a fire. If you or someone in your household needs help to evacuate, we can create a PEEP for you.
This page explains who might need a PEEP and how to request one.
Why Might I Need Help to Evacuate
You might need help to evacuate if, for example, you or someone in your household has any of the following:
- A mobility issue
- Visual impairment
- Hearing impairment
- There may be children or elderly people living with you
- You have a temporary disability like a broken leg or had an operation and are recovering
- You are dependent on equipment like an oxygen tank which you would need help with
