Component Replacement Scheme
Keeping Your Home in Good Condition
We run a Component Replacement Scheme to help keep your home in good condition. This means we replace parts of your home when they reach the end of their useful life.
Rather than moving you out, we carry out these improvements while you remain in your home. We will do our best to cause as little disruption as possible.
We replace the following parts of your home when they need it:
- Kitchens
- Bathrooms
- Windows and doors
- Roofs
- Heating systems
- Insulation
Stock Condition Survey
From time to time, we need to visit your home to check its condition. This helps us plan when things need replacing.
We decide when to replace things based on their condition, not just how old they are. This means some things might be replaced sooner or later than you expect.
The visit usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the size of your home.
We will send you a letter to tell you when we are coming. If the time does not suit you, please let us know.
If we have recently done work in your home, please tell us what you think by completing our satisfaction survey.
No Asbestos Survey = No Improvements
Before we can carry out any improvement works, we must check for asbestos. This is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. If you receive a request for an asbestos survey and do not allow us access, we will not be able to go ahead with the planned works.
This is for your safety and the safety of our contractors. Please make sure you give us access when we ask for an asbestos survey.
