Tree Planting Ceremony
21/02/2020
Tenants, trustees of Mount Dinham Cottage Trust and staff gathered together in the wind and rain to say goodbye to Rick Williams, the retiring Chief Executive. Rick has given 35 years of outstanding service and will be greatly missed by staff and tenants alike. During his term in office, Rick has overseen the work by Cornerstone’s Direct Labour Force to restore the almshouses at Mount Dinham, in St David’s ward and he has been passionate about the restoration project.
A video of Rick and the project can be viewed on by clicking here.
Rick’s retirement was marked with a tree planting ceremony at Mount Dinham on 13th February 2020 with tea and biscuits afterwards. Of course the sapling will take many years to reach the height of the other Wellingtonia Fir trees on the Estate and ironically one of the fully grown firs has just blown down in Storm Ciara!
In 2012 Cornerstone signed a 125 year full repairing lease with the Mount Dinham Cottage Trust to secure the long term future of 44 Grade II listed almshouses.
