Our former Chairman, Tony Clark

10 April 2019

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our former Chairman, Tony Clark.  He passed away on 6th April 2019 after a long battle with cancer. He had been a valued member of the Exeter Housing Society’s board from 1994 and was a driving force behind the company’s expansion in the late 1990s-early 2000s; firstly as Chairman of the Building & Development Committee and then as Chairman of the Board from 2001 to 2006. Tony was a charismatic Chairman and passionate about providing quality affordable homes and will be missed by all that knew him.

Chief Executive, Rick Williams, seen here with Tony at the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate our 1,000th home at Summerway in 2005 says;

“Tony was a lovely man and a pleasure to work with. He was very supportive of the tenants, staff and me personally and was instrumental in launching our development programme that has seen Cornerstone acquire 550 homes over the past 20 years.”
