Admiral Vernon Court, Alphington

A Grade II listed conversion

Our sympathetic conversion of this former coaching house, dating back to the English Civil War, delivered seven new social rented flats and houses in Exeter.

A challenging project, the historic cob pub and outbuildings had fallen into serious disrepair by the time we purchased them in 2006. Supported by grant funding designed to bring empty buildings back into use, we were able to preserve this development’s historic character, retaining the original fireplaces and oak beams.

A popular and unique social rented housing scheme for the over 55’s, Admiral Vernon boasts a private courtyard with a rose garden, seating area and parking, and was featured on BBC South West News on completion in 2008.
