‘Be smart. Buy a share’

Today we are celebrating the start of national Shared Ownership Week 2018 (20^th-26^th September).

Shared ownership (alternatively known as part-rent, part-buy) provides a smart, affordable way to buy a new or resale home.

You buy a share in a new home – usually 40% to 60% of the home’s value – and pay a subsidised rent on the part you don’t own.  Then in the future, if you wish, you can buy further shares until you own your home outright.

Cornerstone is pleased to be joining the campaign, supported by the National Housing Group, to raise awareness and promote shared ownership as an affordable housing option.
