Andy Allison Retirement
03/06/2019
After more than 40 years of service Andy Allison has decided to retire and left Cornerstone at the end of May 2019.
Andy joined Exeter Housing Society as a carpenter in November 1977 after serving his apprenticeship with local building company. He joined a small team of tradesmen working on the modernisation of Kendall Buildings on Blackboy Road.
Andy went on to serve as site agent for further improvement schemes covering nearly 300 of our pre-war homes and, significantly, he oversaw the introduction of two storey extensions on our houses. Andy has worked with Rick to deliver the improvement programme for all our properties including, latterly, revisiting those he had worked on during his early days.
Andy has led the direct labour force to deliver these improvements and all other aspects of the maintenance of our properties and estates to ensure that our tenants benefit from excellent homes and first class services. He is known personally to many of our residents and has always had their interests at heart.
Andy’s 40 years’ loyal has created a legacy will remain for many years to come.
Below Andy is pictured with Tim Lewry the new Head of Property Services who has joined Cornerstone from Westward Housing Group.
