| Charity Fund in aid of Exeter Leukaemia Fund |
| Cornerstone and friends recently rallied together to raise over £1,300 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) at a charity pub night. The fund raising event was for Mike Bostock (pictured in the front), a plumber at Cornerstone who developed Leukaemia last year and has recently undergone a bone marrow transplant. Mike approached Cornerstone and asked if we could make a small donation to ELF but we said we could do better than that! Emily Roberts (pictured next to Mike) came up with the idea of holding a darts match between her "Pink Ladies" Team and a Cornerstone's Direct labour Force at her local pub 'The Royal Oak' in Exeter. The event grew from there and in the end we received a wide variety of donations and gifts to auction from local firms and friends of Cornerstone. There was also a quiz, a raffle and the Royal Oak laid a buffet. A fun time was had by all! We are pleased to say that Mike is on the mend, since his transplant in November, and we hope to see him back at work again when he's fully recovered. Picture courtesy of the Express & Echo.
